Take Control of Your Own Retirement Fund With Advice From a Professional
By Mike | February 21, 2010
When it came for my parents to retire, they had a rough road ahead of them. Dad received a very small pension from the job he held for more than 30 years. My mom was not able to build her own retirement since it was common for moms to stay home full-time when I was a kid. They had put all of their hopes on social security benefits to survive aside from the very small pension. Ron Pollack
Ironically, their golden years were really not that golden. Good thing that I was able to provide assistance to help them get by. As I watch them struggle through, I told myself that I will put up my finances in order and build a strong foundation in preparation for me and my wife’s retirement and to avoid being a burden to our grown children.
As I learned more about financial planning, I started reading whatever I could find about the topic. I watched a few companies closely that seemed solid and very interesting. It really has been enjoyable to go on this journey and learn new things.
I was able to find a few individuals, claiming to be financial experts and checked for any words of wisdom that can better influence my journey. Of course, not everything that you read on the Internet is true, so I urge you to investigate anyone before you follow their lead. Based from what I did, I found a few gurus to be less then reputable. Ron Pollack
But then, one person that I could tell by the way he packaged himself and his knowledge should not be ignored though he did not claim himself as a guru. His name is Ron Pollack, and his success has been as a short-seller and hedge fund manager of the former Dancing Bear (net short) Fund. Ron has done many investment choices that are now viewed as benchmarks on how low investors should act when they participate in market timing.
